Scenic Drive sends a hand-picked scenic route to your own Tesla and follows it live, point by point, to the destination.
If you need help, the basics are below — and you can email us any time at scenic.drive.app@gmail.com. We read every message.
.gpx file.Yes. Scenic Drive works with your own Tesla through Tesla’s official Fleet API.
On the sign-in screen, sign in with your Tesla account and approve the virtual key one time. That’s the whole setup — you stay in control of your account, and you can disconnect any time.
No. Scenic Drive sends a route to your car; your Tesla’s own navigation follows it. You remain the driver and are responsible for the vehicle at all times. Scenic Drive does not steer, accelerate, brake, or control the car, and makes no self-driving claim.
Yes. Import a .gpx file and send it to your car the same way as a library route.
Scenic Drive Pro — a monthly subscription through Apple — unlocks guided driving and the full curated library. The current price is shown in the app and on the App Store before you buy. The subscription renews automatically each month unless you cancel; you can cancel anytime in your Apple ID account settings (deleting the app does not cancel it). Details are in the Terms of Use. Moved to a new device? Tap Settings → Restore Purchases and it comes back at no extra charge.
Tap Settings → Delete Account. This erases your access tokens, your saved routes (including their coordinates), your trip state, the paired key, and your session. It cannot be undone.
The app asks for your location twice over: once, coarsely, to show the scenic routes nearest to you first (that fix never leaves your phone), and — during a guided drive only — in the background, so the route advances as you reach each point even with the screen off. While a drive is running your phone sends its current position to our server; we keep only the latest position, each update overwrites the last, and we never build a history of where you have been.
No. Scenic Drive is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Tesla, Inc. “Tesla” here refers only to compatibility with your own vehicle.
Check that you’re signed in to your Tesla account and that the virtual key is paired — both are on the sign-in screen. Re-pair if needed, then send the route again.
Tap Settings → Restore Purchases.
Email scenic.drive.app@gmail.com and tell us what happened — what you tried and what the app showed. The more detail, the faster we can help.
